About Us

BrainWiki, a user-friendly, web-based atlas, is the brainchild of the HussainiLab at Columbia University, New York. This innovative platform seamlessly links the human and mouse brain in a side-by-side layout, facilitating instant comparison.

BrainWiki provides users with a straightforward overview of brain anatomy, complemented by a wealth of published articles related to each brain region. This allows users to delve into the depths of current research on circuitry, brain functions, and pathology.

Designed with a focus on interactivity, BrainWiki encourages user contributions, creating a dynamic website that evolves in tandem with the field of neuroscience. The platform is built to accommodate constant updates and future features, including data on gene expression and neuronal cell types.
